Waitlist: If you sign up to hear about TriageMD, we collect your email address only. Nothing else.
Triage tool: When you use the triage tool, you submit de-identified clinical text — lab results with all patient identifiers removed. We do not collect patient names, health card numbers, dates of birth, addresses, or any other personal health information (PHI).
Waitlist email: To send updates about TriageMD. We don't sell it, share it with marketers, or use it for anything else.
De-identified clinical text: To generate an AI triage classification and return it to you immediately. Processed solely to produce that output.
Waitlist emails are stored securely and not shared with third parties.
De-identified clinical text is sent to Anthropic's API for AI classification. Anthropic's servers are located in the United States. We want to be direct about this: when you submit lab text for triage, that text leaves Canada and is processed by Anthropic's infrastructure.
Because the text is de-identified before it reaches us — and before it reaches Anthropic — it does not constitute personal health information under PIPEDA or Ontario's PHIPA.
We are actively working toward Canadian data residency for the production version of TriageMD. We are not there yet, and we won't claim otherwise.
TriageMD is not designed to receive:
If you accidentally submit identified data, contact us immediately at patrick@aiforcanadians.org.
Triage submissions: Not stored. Once the classification is returned to you, the submitted text is not retained by TriageMD. It is subject to Anthropic's own data handling — see anthropic.com/privacy.
Waitlist emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
TriageMD is a tool for physicians. You are responsible for de-identifying lab results before submitting them. This means removing all patient identifiers in accordance with PHIPA (Ontario) and PIPEDA. The Pilot Participant Agreement details exactly what must be removed.
TriageMD does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical decision-making. It provides a prioritization signal only. It has not been reviewed or approved by Health Canada as a medical device.
